Jewels in the Treasure Box: The 1953 Chicago Blue Note Jazz Club Recordings is a previously unissued collection of recordings from jazz icon and virtuosic pianist, Art Tatum, captured live at the Blue Note jazz club in Chicago in March of 1953 with guitarist Everett Barksdale and bassist Slam Stewart. These recordings were transferred from the original tape reels and mastered for LP and CD by engineer Matthew Lutthans (who also worked on Resonance's Grammy-nominated 2019 Nat King Cole release Hittin' the Ramp). Containing a whopping nearly 3 hours of never-before-heard Art Tatum captured in an intimate setting at the height of his powers with his longtime trio.

Stardust & Starlight: Live at the Jazz Showcase is a previously unissued recording of the enigmatic piano icon Mal Waldron captured live at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase in Chicago, IL in August of 1979 with bassist Steve Rodby (Pat Metheny Group), drummer Wilbur Campbell, and special guest saxophonist Sonny Stitt on 2 songs. The set was mastered from the original tapes.

At the Jazz Showcase is the first ever release of piano legend Ahmad Jamal's trio featuring bassist John Heard and longtime drummer Frank Gant captured live at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase in Chicago, IL on March 20-21, 1976. Another Time: The Hilversum Concert is a rare, never-before-issued recording of the legendary Bill Evans trio featuring Eddie Gomez on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums captured live at the Netherlands Radio Union Studios on June 22, 1968. For the audiophile, this is possibly the best sounding live recording of Bill Evans found to date, captured with the state of the art equipment of the NRU. This deluxe CD features rare photos, essays, plus interviews with Eddie Gomez, Jack DeJohnette and more.

Three CD set. Musical Prophet: The Expanded 1963 New York Studio Sessions is the first official release of previously-unissued Eric Dolphy studio recordings in over 30 years! This release contains the masterpiece albums Conversations and Iron Man recorded in NYC in July, 1963. Features James in two different trio settings: one from January 20, 1965 with bassist Larry Rockwell and drummer Bob Pozar, and one from October 9, 1965 with bassist Bill Wood and drummer Omar Clay, performing a mix of jazz standards and original compositions. Includes an extensive booklet with essays, new interviews, plus rare archival photographs. Tracks 1 through 4 were recorded on January 20, 1965 with Larry Rockwood on bass and Robert Pozar on drums. Evans in England is a newly-discovered recording of the Bill Evans Trio featuring bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Marty Morell captured live at the legendary Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London, England in December of 1969. The deluxe set includes an elaborate booklet with rare photos, essays, and interviews. This is the fourth official Resonance release of previously un-issued Bill Evans recordings and captures Evans in a peak period of creativity at the helm of what would become his longest lasting trio.

2014 album of previously unreleased performances capturing the always-extraordinary saxophonist and flutist Charles Lloyd in 1965, leading a remarkable and previously unreleased quartet featuring three jazz giants: guitarist G�bor Szab�, bassist Ron Carter and drummer Pete La Roca. They were recorded at the now-defunct venues Judson Hall and Slugs', the Judson Hall recording comes from the archives of Resonance founder George Klabin, then a 19-year-old student at Columbia University recorded the Judson Hall show with up-close microphone placement techniques and state-of-the-art engineering - well ahead of 1965 standards. The Slugs' performances were recorded by Bjorn von Schlebrugge, who accompanied Lloyd to his Manhattan gigs. Slugs' has been called "one of the most important jazz shrines there ever was"

Two CD set. In the Beginning features recordings of Wes Montgomery spanning from 1949 to 1958, the formative years when the six-string virtuoso was honing his craft in southern Indiana. Since Wes Montgomery's passing in 1968, only two other albums of predominantly unreleased material have been released. Resonance Records is pleased to introduce the third with In the Beginning. These newly discovered live and studio recordings from 1949-1958, include a complete never-before-released 1955 Epic Records session produced by Quincy Jones, licensed from Sony Music Entertainment, newly discovered 78 RPM sides with Wes as a sideman recorded for Spire Records (1949), a live recording from the home of Ervena Montgomery, Indianapolis (1956), live recordings from the Turf Club (1956), the Missile Lounge (1958) in Indianapolis, and the C&C Music Lounge in Chicago (1957).
