Let us discard the labels we conveniently put on contemporary music productions: Diego Conti speaks an exquisitely authentic language, his own; there is no trace of timbral mannerism, display of effects, or distractions of any other kind. And above all - surprisingly - this collection of pieces starts from people: from encounters; it feeds on sharp observations or shared memories; it proceeds towards transfiguration. Like a tailor, the composer stitches together sonic garments for imagined spiritual bodies.
