About

This album brings together the world premiere recordings of works by the eminent ethnomusicologist, composer, and pianist. The solo piano pieces reflect his profound engagement with folk music, courtly traditions, and sacred song, distilled into a musical language of remarkable colour, sensitivity, and depth. Among the highlights of the programme is the late-Romantic Sonata for Violin and Piano - one of Kamienski's most significant and representative compositions - a work of striking dramatic power, emotional urgency, and dazzling instrumental writing. Szymon Telecki and Pawel Pawlik, both celebrated for their distinguished artistic careers, bring exceptional virtuosity, expressive breadth, and stylistic refinement to these performances, offering interpretations that fully reveal the artistic stature of these remarkable works.
