From the West Point Military Academy comes this great album that presents the Military Academy Concert Band and Glee Club. These wonderful organizations have a rich history, and continue to perform many concerts throughout the year that draw in thousands of listeners. The term "dress parade" originally referred to a military parade where soldiers marched in formal uniforms and often carried their weapons. Dress parades are now so uncommon that the term has fallen out of use, and even out of most dictionaries, but in a very real way the United States Air Force Band continues this wonderful tradition. The Band has traded the instruments of battle and has replaced them with musical instruments of patriotism and goodwill. On Dress Parade captures the sound and feeling of the forgotten dress parade. This recording features compositions of renowned march composers Chambers, Goldman and Sousa, while simultaneously exploring the works of many lesser-known march composers whose legacies would have been lost had these musical treasures not been recorded.

The President's Own United States Marine Band: Music of Rich

The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps performs martial and popular music for hundreds of thousands of spectators each year. Comprised of 90 Marine musicians, dressed in ceremonial red and white uniforms, it is known worldwide as a premier musical marching unit. Throughout the summer months the unit performs in the traditional Evening Parades held at the Marine Barracks Washington, and in the Sunset Parades at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Virginia. The Drum & Bugle Corps travels more than 50,000 miles annually, performing in nearly 500 events across the nation and abroad. The music performed on this album is an example of what you would hear at a performance of this wonderful ensemble.

Celebrations features the talents of some of this nation's finest musicians, members of the U.S. Navy Band. As a commemoration to the exceptional musicianship and unfailing dedication of the Navy Band, this exciting album strikes a balance between concert band works and orchestral transcriptions that challenge the performers and inspire the listener. The pieces on the album also represent the works of some of the world's greatest composers such as Carl Friedemann and Richard Strauss. Three of the selections found on this album were composed or transcribed by present and former Navy Band members. One such member, Chief Musician Herb Weber, had a father who performed with the Sousa Band. This album is a fantastic representation of the talent, dedication, and professionalism that is characteristic of the United States Navy Band in every endeavor.

Heritage of the March is a series of records of marches released from 1973-1980s. It remains the largest single march music record series in history. Volume 2 features John Klohr and Alex Lithgow. Included with the album are extensive notes on composers instrumentation the band and various personal stories from Bob Hoe.

Heritage of the March is a series of 185 vinyl records of marches and galops released from 1973 to the early 1980s. It remains the largest single march music record series in history, featuring close to 3,000 different marches. Volume 1 features the great marches of Robert Brown Hall and Carl Teike. Included with the album are notes on topics such as the Heritage of the March series, historical backgrounds on composers, instrumentation, the band recorded, or various personal stories from Bob Hoe.
