Cello Abbey / Rochat, Meyer, Staatskapelle Weimar
Even if the title refers more to the gothic sacred buildings of England, Nadege Rochat, inspired by her two-year studies in London, wanted to place the no less spectacular mansions of the island a musical monument. With works by Elgar, Walton and Boyle, she takes us to the time of the series Downton Abbey and designs a musical panorama of England at the beginning of the 20th century.

Southern Tunes / Ensemble Esperanza
On their second album of this series, Ensemble Esperanza is looking south. Just as on their debut album, Nordic Suites, Ensemble Esperanza has selected dance-like pieces, this time from the highly variegated musical landscapes of Southern Europe. Although only one of the works is in the form of a traditional dance suite, all four move with a swaying motion. The works on this recording date from the first two-thirds of the twentieth century. All four are highly individualistic in character and share a quest for essence and for the sublime, with a formal clarity and lucidity inspired by the great model of Classical Antiquity, which first gave rise to this vast cultural landscape. The warmth of the underlying sentiment allows the pieces to align with their own luminous ideal of Mediterranean beauty. Ensemble Esperanza was founded in 2015 as part of the integral musical education programme of the International Academy of Music in Lichtenstein. With the exception of the concert master, the ensemble is made up of grantees of the International Academy of Music who are coming together for their musical projects from all over the world.
Nordic Suites / Ensemble Esperanza
The Ensemble Esperanza was formed in 2015 by students of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein as part of an integral musical education programme. With the exception of the concertmaster, Chouchane Siranossian, the harpsichordist, the ensemble is made up of grantees of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein who are coming together for their musical projects from all over Europe. With their debut release they are embarking on a new challenge, for which the venerable musical form of the suite provides an appropriate setting.

The brilliant sound of the Vogtland Philharmonie brings Hollywood directly into your sound system. Also included are selections from House Of Cards, Game of Thrones, Aladdin, Bonanza, and others. The Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra is a supra-regional orchestra with a unique spectrum of activities ranging from symphonic concerts to serenades and gala evenings, from concerts in historical costumes to film music performances or contemporary crossover projects. The Vogtland Philharmonic has developed a series of educational programs as well, such as the “Kids meet Classic” concert series, in order to engage new musical talent. As the musical ambassador of the region, the Vogtland Philharmonic performs all over Europe, as well as in Turkey, China and in the USA. It is also a regular partner of international music competitions. Formed in 1992 as the result of a merger between two renowned symphony orchestras from Thuringia and Saxony, the Vogtland Symphony has since established itself as an indispensable cultural institution. It continues the over 150 year old orchestral tradition of the region at the highest artistic level and continues to delight with its spirit of invention and innovation.
Mozart, Hummel, Weber: Bassoon Concertos
This recording combines all the major works of bassoon repertoire written between 1770 and 1830, with Mozart's magnificient concerto as the undisputed masterpiece of the entire repertoire. He was able to bring the full range of bassoon's possibilities into play, making use of its entire tonal range in the opening movement, with semiquaver passages, glorious cantabile sections and maniacal trills. Matthias Rácz, probably one of the best bassoon players of our generation, present this work as well as the two concertos of Hummel and Weber with the greatest of ease.
Saint-Saens: Le Deluge / Wurtte, Figuralchor Der Gedachtniskirche Stuttgart
Today Camille SaintSaëns is classified as a conservative classicist by many people. By his contemporaries he was considered as a musical revolutionary who demanded "dreams of the future" his audience. His oratorio Le Déluge courted the pope's resentment; he criticized it as too secular. It certainly is a significant contribution to the French Oratorio, whose composer is finally rediscovered as one of the great personalities in the history of music.
