This album brings together works by composers closely associated with France and Paris, complemented by a reconstructed version of Mozart's unfinished sonata. The programme spans original compositions for two pianos, alternative arrangements created by the composers themselves, and a bold reimagining of Piazzolla's iconic Libertango by Aleami Piano Duo. In this innovative arrangement, the artists employ extended piano techniques, live looping, and improvisation, expanding the expressive possibilities of the two-piano medium. At the heart of the album lies the idea of encounter: the meeting of two pianos and two pianists, but also of cultures and musical traditions that inspired generations of composers-from the spiritual songs of enslaved African Americans to the passionate rhythms of Argentine tango. Despite their stylistic diversity, all the works are united by the distinctive sonority of two pianos, an ensemble capable of both orchestral grandeur and extraordinary intimacy. The rich palette of colours, vast dynamic range, and interplay between the instruments create a compelling musical dialogue throughout the recording. Aleami Piano Duo is among the most versatile young Polish piano ensembles of it's generation, performing repertoire that ranges from the classical canon to contemporary music and works influenced by jazz. This eclectic programme showcases the duo's interpretative freedom, virtuosity, and remarkable artistic synergy, offering a fresh and captivating perspective on the art of piano duo performance.

On this captivating new recording, the Czestochowa Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Adam Klocek presents a distinguished selection of works by Polish composers inspired by the flourishing spirit of Classicism. At it's heart stands Krzysztof Meyer's Symphony in D major, Op. 41, a masterfully crafted homage to Mozart, blending stylistic authenticity with the voice of one of Poland's most eminent contemporary composers. A true revelation is Antoni Milwid's brilliant Symphony in C major, a work long believed to survive only in incomplete form and now revealed in all it's inventive charm and orchestral brilliance. The programme is completed by the sparkling compositions of Franciszek Lessel, in which pianist Joanna Lawrynowicz-Just and flautist Anna Zmarzly display remarkable artistry, achieving a perfect balance between refined elegance and dazzling virtuosity. Together, these works illuminate the richness of the Polish classical tradition, offering a vibrant musical journey that bridges historical inspiration and enduring artistic craftsmanship.

The twentieth edition of the Musica Sacromontana festival presents a rare opportunity to rediscover masterpieces preserved in the archives of the Philippine Fathers' sanctuary in Gostyn. Composed four decades apart, these two litanies trace the development of a Central European Classical idiom enriched by local traditions-from the lucid architecture and elegant contrasts of Zeidler to the heightened dramatic expression and virtuoso writing of Wanski. Led by the musicians of Capella Musica Gnesnensis and an outstanding team of soloists, this performance combines stylistic vitality with expressive depth, revealing the artistic richness and enduring appeal of these long-neglected works.

With her debut album, Julia Lozowska compellingly affirms her place among the most distinctive pianists of her generation. This recording is far more than a display of virtuosity-it is a finely shaped artistic statement of remarkable depth, clarity, and refinement. Lozowska combines technical brilliance with a rare intellectual and emotional insight into the music, illuminating it's hidden structures-tonal relationships, motifs, and compositional sources of inspiration-with exceptional sensitivity and precision. The selection of well-known, large-scale works unfolds in her interpretation with an almost narrative force. Within expansive, imaginatively shaped forms, the album guides the listener through a deeply immersive emotional journey: from romantic unrest and longing, through moments of introspection and reflection, to a state of calm resolution and an ultimately hopeful, forward-looking perspective.

This album brings together two of Ludwig van Beethoven's piano sonatas, performed here for the first time on record by pianist Maria Korecka-Soszkowska, for whom Beethoven has long remained a central and deeply cherished composer. Though commonly known by the evocative titles Moonlight and Pastoral, neither nickname originated with the composer himself. The celebrated Sonata quasi una fantasia in C-sharp minor opens the recording with one of the most iconic movements in all classical music: a work of restrained passion and inward drama, often associated with Beethoven's unfulfilled love for one of his pupils. The later Sonata in D major unfolds in a more pastoral atmosphere, coloured by echoes of rural life and subtle allusions to folk music. Both sonatas reveal Beethoven's gift for expanding classical form through slow introductions, shifting moods, and a narrative tension that grows organically from within. In Maria Korecka-Soszkowska's interpretation, these familiar masterpieces regain their freshness, intimacy, and poetic depth.

Hidden for decades behind the gender-neutral pseudonym N. Lago, the music of Swedish composer Laura Netzel finally emerges in full light. This recording brings together her complete works for violin and piano: intimate, refined, and richly melodic pages shaped by Nordic folklore, daring harmonies, and the expressive freedom of the late Romantic era. Far from mere virtuoso display, these works speak in a voice of quiet intensity, where elegance conceals deep emotion. Violinist Agata Kawa-Cajler and pianist Aleksandra Dallali reveal the subtle balance of strength and delicacy that once fascinated Netzel's contemporaries, restoring to this remarkable composer the place she deserves within the Swedish neo-Romantic tradition.

This album offers a compelling rediscovery of the still too rarely heard solo piano works of one of the most distinguished pianists of the early twentieth century. In these richly imaginative pieces, Friedman reveals himself as a composer of singular refinement and atmosphere, equally capable of evoking poignant nostalgia, sparkling wit, and dazzling virtuosity. His musical language draws with particular sensitivity on the inflections of Polish folklore-dance rhythms, modal contours, and folk-inspired lyricism-while resonating with the poetic worlds of Chopin and the early Szymanowski. Internationally acclaimed as both soloist and chamber musician, Anna Parkita brings to this repertoire an exceptional combination of brilliance, nuance, and expressive insight, illuminating music that unfolds with the colour, intimacy, and haunting beauty of a distinctly Slavic landscape.

This recording brings together an early trio fragment and later chamber compositions of full stylistic and technical maturity - although Andante e Rondo alla polacca was originally conceived for flute and orchestra. Founded in 2023, Inverto Ensemble is dedicated to historically informed performance. Flautist Marta Gawlas, keyboardist Aleksandra Zebrowska, and cellist Matylda Adamus are active on international stages and collaborate with leading European ensembles. Their interpretations are fresh, expressive, and finely nuanced - from the wistful lyricism of the cello dumka to the stately character of the polonaise and the elegance of the salon.

Poland's ascendant Orkiestra Camerata Stargard presents a luminous and deeply moving album of sacred orchestral and choral music by Polish-American composer Mark Nowakowski. The programme opens with Nowakowski's radiant setting of The Seven Last Words of Christ, unfolding with both intimacy and dramatic weight. It is followed by a searing meditation on suffering, O Mater Dolorosa!, featuring violinist Karolina Hyla-Wybraniec. The album concludes with O Beauty Uncreated, Nowakowski's setting of St. Faustyna's celebrated reflection, performed in collaboration with Slovakia's Chamber Choir Omnia. This release marks Nowakowski's third portrait disc. His debut, Blood, Forgotten, garnered strong reviews in Gramophone, while his second, Metanoia, reached #1 on Amazon's digital classical chart.

Continuity through change as the very essence of tradition. The first instalment in a series documenting the legacy and evolution of one of Poland's leading music centres. It brings together recordings by it's most senior artists - musicians who remain active both on the concert stage and in the pedagogical sphere - representing distinct interpretative approaches and teaching lineages. What distinguishes these Kraków masters is, above all, their finely judged sense of time and their deliberate refusal to pursue mere virtuoso display, choosing instead to seek beauty of tone and the harmony of shared sonorities - qualities further enriched by the artistry of their outstanding pianists.

This album brings together the world premiere recordings of works by the eminent ethnomusicologist, composer, and pianist. The solo piano pieces reflect his profound engagement with folk music, courtly traditions, and sacred song, distilled into a musical language of remarkable colour, sensitivity, and depth. Among the highlights of the programme is the late-Romantic Sonata for Violin and Piano - one of Kamienski's most significant and representative compositions - a work of striking dramatic power, emotional urgency, and dazzling instrumental writing. Szymon Telecki and Pawel Pawlik, both celebrated for their distinguished artistic careers, bring exceptional virtuosity, expressive breadth, and stylistic refinement to these performances, offering interpretations that fully reveal the artistic stature of these remarkable works.

Transcriptions for two harpsichords of works by Gdansk composers and Kapellmeisters, spanning the mature Renaissance through the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The album's title evokes the vogue for monumental polychoral compositions that once enriched the daily life of Gdansk's patrician society. Through bold reconstructions and the virtuosic artistry of two harpsichordists affiliated with the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, the works of these ambitious masters of old Gdansk are given a new voice - radiant with a splendour worthy of the gilded interiors of Artus Court.

This recording offers a rare and compelling opportunity to hear Shostakovich's Violin Sonata alongside it's orchestral reimagining for violin and orchestra, both performed by the same soloist. In his arrangement, Krzysztof Meyer achieves an admirable equilibrium between individual creative insight and a profound stylistic affinity with his distinguished predecessor. Magdalena Rezler's interpretation is equally persuasive: her refined, unsentimental playing responds with striking sensitivity to the work's cool austerity and inward intensity. Devoid of overt pathos or programmatic gesture, the music nevertheless proves deeply affecting, captivating the listener through it's wealth of motifs and it's distinctive, unconventional design.

Adrian Robak explores unconventional instrumental combinations and a wide spectrum of sonorities, while remaining in meaningful dialogue with the aesthetic currents of earlier decades. His music impresses and moves through the sincerity of it's expression-an artistic voice that has earned him growing recognition on concert stages in Poland and abroad.

A concert performance of Darius Milhaud's "intermedial" ballets, alongside the world premiere recording of the complete original version of Salade. This release brings together all that is most irresistible in the music of the great French master of modernism: jazz, the circus, reimaginings of early music, serenades from Sardinia, and the folkloric colours of Provence. A distinguished cast of young vocal soloists, together with a chamber ensemble of the Poznan Philharmonic, is led by Lukasz Borowicz, an eminent interpreter of unjustly neglected scores.

The programme of the latest recording by the distinguished choir 441 Hz brings together works by composers from a wide range of cultural traditions, from Scandinavia to the Philippines. Their shared expressive thread is a meditation on the phenomenon of light-it's symbolism, radiance, and transformative power. These composers write for mixed choir, enriched here by the subtle colours of violin, Tibetan singing bowls, handbells, and even water-tuned glasses. Yet for all it's imaginative scoring, the programme is far removed from the world of avant-garde experiment. Instead, it unfolds in a language of luminous harmonies, deeply affecting solo voices, and expansive musical forms, creating an atmosphere of serenity and inward reflection.
