Genuin presents their sixth release of the Munich Piano Trio featuring Tilo Widenmeyer who is also a member of the Melos Quartet. Founded in 1982 they are one of the most active and sought-after German chamber music ensembles. They have toured throughout Europe North America and Asia performing in some of the world's most famous venues.

Following their first successful Genuin release “Loco,” the Wave Quartet is turning on the heat- when we hear them, we’d be forgiven for mistaking the marimba and percussion quartet for a full-fledged orchestra. Joining together with Bogdan Bacanu, the world’s youngest marimba professor and winner of many international competitions, the world-class musicians have committed two world premiere recordings to this release- concertos by Emmanuel Sejourne where they give full rein to their brilliant and varied malletwork. Romantic, with plenty of humor, groove, and feeling- an inspiration for percussion fans and music lovers everywhere!

With this CD, Clemens M�ller and I-chiao Shih are championing the work of a great but wrongfully neglected Lieder composer: Franz Liszt! Pianist Clemens M�ller, who has already released the highly positively received Voyage down the Danube with GENUIN, and Taiwanese Mezzo-soprano I-chiao Shih, the winner of many international awards, soar up to Lieder heaven on the harmonies of the master's own Steingraeber grand piano from 1847. And when we hear the warmth of Shih's voice and M�ller's sensitive piano accompaniment, there is no doubt in our minds that Liszt, up on his cloud, is applauding in approval. The five former choristers of the famed St. Thomas Church choir in Leipzig present a recording of Franz Schubert's German Mass and skillfully round off the disc with contemporary motet settings. Ensemble Nobiles not only performs settings by church musicians such as Hugo Distler and Manfred Schlenker, but also feature the works of several St. Thomas cantors. The motet Verleih uns Frieden gne�diglich (Grant US your gracious peace) by the current Leipzig Thomas Kantor Georg Christoph Biller brings this CD of sacred vocal works full circle - from Schubert all the way to the music of our times.

The two composers, who represent their country as figureheads of color and sound, have almost identical dates in their lives: The Pole Karol Szymanowski and the Frenchman Maurice Ravel. The Swiss pianist Matthias Roth has put together an exquisite program for his GENUIN debut release, which he has recorded with a crystal-clear sound and lively articulation that is unrivaled in terms of quality. You don't know what to admire more: The great works of Ravel that one knows well but experiences anew, or the unexplored beauty of Szymanowski's works, which are worth the exciting voyage of discovery in every moment! Matthias Roth was born in Toggenburg, Switzerland and studied at the Zurich University of the Arts with Hadassa Schwimmer and Karl-Andreas Kolly. He earned both his teaching and concert diplomas with honors and is the winner of the Landolt Prize. In recent years the piano music of the turn of the twentieth century has become a keystone to his concert career. Roth teaches piano at the Zurcher Oberland Kantonschule.

Munich composer Max Beckshafer invites us on a fantastic roller coaster ride filled with moving moments on his new Genuin release, where each piece is a world premiere recording. Beckschafer presents settings of new and old poetry from the Middle Ages to the post-modern era, bridging the gap over several centuries. Sometimes we feel like we are listening to a medieval troubadour, sometimes we hear the disconcerting sound clusters of our time. A pupil of Killmayer, Beckschafer collaborated with brilliant countertenor Franz Vitzthum, the Ensemble Stimmwerck, and the Ensemble Il Capriccio for this production- artists who truly make the dazzling colors of his music shine. This release is inspiringly different!

Productions by the Munich Piano Trio delight us time and again: one time they'll discover unknown works and draw an "Ah!" of astonishment, while the next time they'll focus on the great works of the repertoire and "Wow!" us with their marvelous interpretation. The Consortium Vocale Leipzig invites us to dinner: the members of the MDR Radio Chorus offer up a menu of delectable “Variations on the Trout”- quite naturally, Schubert’s Trout! And what’s more, two are world premiere recordings, by Franz Schoggl and Wolfram Langner. This is nouvelle cuisine, from revived Renaissance fare to Mediterranean cooking, Bohemian trout with dumplings a la Dvorak, and a recipe from molecular cuisine, Forella moderna. Head chef Michael Glaser, former director of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Chorus, has masterfully balanced all the flavors, serving up a world-class vocal menu.

Genuin presents their latest release in the Un!erhört series. This release features Michael Schäfer and Ilona Then-Bergh performing rarely recorded repertoire of Calude Delvincourt

In cooperation with the Unitas Lodge, Katja Zakotnik and Naila Alvarenga-Lahmann release a CD of chamber music works inspired by Freemasonry. The program includes cheerful impressions from the Magic Flute, as interpreted by Beethoven, and Nordic sounds suffused with light by the Finnish national composer Sibelius, as well as music of Johann Nepomuk Hummel.

Piano duo Danhel-Kolb releases their second album after the highly praised Slavonic Dances. This release includes the world premiere recording of Cramer's Sonata Op. 22.

Paul Badura-Skoda is not only a world renowned pianist, but is also a Schubert expert. For this release, Badura-Skoda presents Schubert’s Sonata in D major D 850 “Gastein Sonata”, and 3 Klavierstucke D 946. This is Badura-Skoda’s 13th CD with GENUIN.
