This is the debut recording of the young and adventurous Weimar Woodwind Quintet. The perfect blend from the great tradition of classical symphonic wind ensembles can be heard in the arrangement of Mozart’s Magic Flute Overture. This is followed by the highly polished and sophisticated classical entertainment as embodied by Mozart’s contemporary Franz Danzi. Finally, the down-to-earth and folkloristic elements are intricately woven into the music of the 1920s by Pavel Haase in his Woodwind Quintet in G minor.

- The winner of the 2013 German Music Competition: this is the young cellist Jonas Palm (b. 1993), who is now presenting his debut CD with Genuin. - Impressing the competition audience and jury so much with his large, resonant sound, here he plays, with pianist Philip Heiss, the cello sonatas of Beethoven and Mendelssohn, the sound-searching miniatures of Lutoslawski and the mysterious tales of Janacek. - With his Bachelor Degree studies now complete, Jonas Palm continues in furtherance of his training with Prof. Clemens Hagen at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

After the great success of it's GENUIN debut album, which was highly acclaimed by the press, the Duo Br�ggen-Plank is now following suit: The violinist Marie Radauer-Plank and the pianist Henrike Br�ggen play works by the Romanian national composer George Enescu, opening up exciting and unknown worlds for us. Enescu covered a long distance from his first salon pieces to his later works. Genuinely unique, he was both modern and influenced by the ancient, exotic rhythms and harmonies of his homeland. The two musicians approach Enescu's colorful soundscapes with verve and musical splendor, refinement, and expansiveness. A folkloristic discovery-and much more!

A GENUIN debut CD of two young musicians: Nina Karmon (violin) and Maria Sofianska (piano). Spans a wide arch from the beginning of the Romantic era to it's end. Schubert's C-major Fantasy is contrasted with Richard Strauss's youthful, furiously heated Violin Sonata. The duo partners allow their instruments to sing, showing masterly ensemble playing.

On this unique record, Paul Badura Skoda performs three different versions of Schubert’s final Sontata in B-flat major. Each of these versions is performed with a distinct sound on three different pianos: an 1826 Graf fortepiano, a 1923 Bosendorfer and a 2004 Steinway grand.

These two young musicians have won numerous awards, ranging from the prize of the Concours Rostropovich for cellist Norbert Anger to the first prize and audience prize of the Steinway Piano Competition for Nicolai Gerassimez. They became acquainted as prize winners of the German Music Competition and discovered their shared love of chamber music. As the Duo Anger-Gerassimez, they show the colorful variety of the cello and piano on their debut CD.
