About
Originally released in 1969, Black Rhythm Happening is a vibrant and spiritually charged statement from trumpeter Eddie Gale. Blending avant-garde jazz, gospel, soul, and African-inspired rhythms, the album features expansive arrangements and a powerful sense of community and expression. A standout entry in Blue Note's adventurous late-1960s catalog, it remains a compelling and influential recording.
