The material is strong and the jazz influences give the album greater heft than the run of the mill material released by contemporary's at the time. This upbeat disco album encapsulates all that was right about the Disco Era. Sure she has graduated on to the upper echelons of jazz, but this is where she got her start. It's fun. She adds depth and fire to the dance cuts "Don't Say It" and the sassy "For The Girls", the album closes with the excellent Ashford & Simpson penned "Is This What Feeling Gets" from The Wiz.
