I recorded the entire album during the summer of 2024 in a barn on Faro, using a 1920 Steinway grand piano and a Juno-60 synthesiser through a Nagra tape recorder. Matti Bye is one of Sweden's most acclaimed and distinctive composers for film, theater, and sound art. With a background in silent film accompaniment, he has developed a unique musical language where the piano often meets tape loops, analog synths, and field recordings. His music blends neoclassical sensitivity with ambient textures, and has been heard in award-winning films such as Tove, Never Alone, and Young Royals. He has released numerous albums, including Capri Clouds (2024) and Between Darkness & White Snow (2023), and collaborates regularly with artists like Lau Nau, Linda Fredriksson, Anna von Hausswolff, and Roland Ponti- nen. Bye has received two Guldbagge Awards for Best Original Score and the HARPA Nordic Film Composer Award. His music has been performed at venues such as MOMA in New York, the Venice Biennale, Cinema Ritrovato, and the Thai Film Archive.

Matti Bye's third album, "Capri Clouds", moves through the element of the air and further into space. A lone piano sounds, echoes - sometimes like a waltz. We have the sound of the wind with us and the sound of the sea below us as we fly, and above we hear the stars and planets spinning. A piano from the past, as if Satie met space - as if Spiritualized and Satie talked to each other across time and space. These songs go straight to the heart and to the senses, and create images in your head. Stories from your own memory bank, as well as new visions - music to lean into, meditatively and hopefully longing. But there is also an undertone of something dark and desolate. Musically, Matti Bye moves within the realm of neo-classicism, but he is also approaching romanticism. References to composers such as Schubert and Beethoven are to be found here, as well as to post-romantic bands such as Kraftwerk and The Cure. In this third album of a trilogy - the first was "Bethanien", the second "The Forgotten Land" - Bye continues his musical journey. Here we encounter a brighter and lighter production. Denovali presents Spark and Earth, the ninth full length album from acclaimed NYC-based composer and performer Mario Diaz de Leon. Long celebrated for his electroacoustic chamber music, Spark and Earth is the first of Diaz de Leon's solo albums to foreground his performance as a metal guitarist, alongside a vividly textured electronic ensemble of terse synth stabs, woodwind and vocal timbres, floor rattling synth bass, and propulsive kick drums. Since 2009, Diaz de Leon has released four recordings of his collaborations with chamber ensembles (International Contemporary Ensemble, Talea, TAK), while from 2012-2016 he produced three solo electronic albums under the project name Oneirogen. With the two-song album Heart Thread (2022), he began releasing electronic works under his own name. His music has been celebrated over the last decade for it's "hallucinatory intensity" (New York Times), "snarling exuberance" (Pitchfork), and "remarkable textures and vivid atmosphere" (New Yorker Magazine). As collaborator, he is guitarist and vocalist in the extreme metal duo Luminous Vault (Profound Lore Records), and performs synth and drum machine in Bloodmist, an electroacoustic improvisation trio with Jeremiah Cymerman and Toby Driver. In 2023, he collaborated with Eartheater and members of Krallice in a performance of songs from her album Trinity. THE Eye of Time is the Solo-Project of the French musician Marc Euvrie. Euvrie's musical development is deeply connected with the French diy scene though he has been classically trained as well. Acoustic II is Marc's sixth album and the second one only based on Piano & Cello works. Marc about the development of the album: "Playing Piano and Cello has become more important to me in the last years. After Acoustic (2014) I felt a need to do more acoustic songs. In the mean time, a dream came true. In summer 2018 I travelled across Europe with an acoustic upright piano and a cello to play outdoor shows in natural areas. The audience and feedbacks were so wonderful and gave me the energy to compose more songs.
