You Smile - The Song Begins is a 1974 studio album by Herb Alpert. It was Alpert's first album for several years, and was arranged by Quincy Jones. The album peaked at 66 on the Billboard 200.

On his 2019 album, Over The Rainbow, Herb Alpert began the same way he has done for all of his albums over the years: searching for great melodies. That search has resulted in the prolific trumpeter's latest offering, a collection of 11 classics and one brand new, original track. That original song, "Skinny Dip", opens the album with a quirky, fun vibe before things move on to recognizable tunes from the great American songbook, which are included for various reasons close to Herb's heart. He felt the danger in the tightrope walk of recording his own version of the iconic "Over The Rainbow", which was cemented within pop culture by Judy Garland's performance and many other fantastic recordings. The exciting original compositions on Come Fly With Me were inspired by everything from a Tito Puente rhythm Alpert fell in love with (the propulsive "Night Ride") to jamming with his world class band in between shows on tour (the fun, reggae-infused "Cheeky" was born of these sessions). On "Walkin' Tall", another track with a punchy reggae beat, Alpert's trumpet melody slinks and slides. Herb's take on one of Frank Sinatra's most famous recordings, "Come Fly With Me," is set to a groovy bossa nova beat with the surprising addition of a steel drum. His sparse take on George Harrison's "Something" includes the use of an electronic instrument known as an EVI, to play the signature guitar lick from the original recording.

Keep Your Eye on Me is a pop/R&B/dance album by Herb Alpert, released in 1987. It contains two hit singles, "Diamonds" and "Making Love in the Rain" (both featuring lead and background vocals by Janet Jackson and Lisa Keith). These Billboard Top 40 hits, along with the title track and "Pillow" (featuring co-lead vocals by Alpert and singer/wife Lani Hall) were produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. The remainder of the album consists of tracks produced by Herb Alpert and various producers. Keep Your Eye On Me was constructed with Side 1 (Tracks 1-5) featuring uptempo songs, while Side 2 (Tracks 6-10) featured down tempo songs and ballads. All trumpet solos were played by Herb Alpert.

The Beat of the Brass is the tenth album release by the popular 1960s instrumental group Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. The album was released on the heels of a television special by the same title (telecast April 22, 1968 over CBS). Tom Mankiewicz, who wrote the special, also provided two paragraphs of liner notes for the album. Explaining the concept behind the album, Mankiewicz writes, "The beat of America is more than a musical experience. It finds it's pulse and rhythms in the very life of the country: the crack of a bat against a baseball, the spinning wheels and pounding machinery of a modern factory, a swinging crowd in New Orleans at Mardi Gras, a saddle twisting desperately against his rider..." It includes Alpert's only major vocal hit, "This Guy's In Love With You", which became an overnight success due to it's inclusion during the special, in a sequence featuring Herb and his (first) wife, Sharon.

Magic Man - With Michael Stokes, then A&M's director of Black Product/A&R, co-producing, Alpert came up with a pleasant collection of R&B/pop-slanted tunes, plus a rendition of "Besame Mucho" and a cha-cha/disco remake of his own "You Smile, The Song Begins."

North On South St. Is a hip-hop influenced album by Herb Alpert released in 1991 and his last vinyl release on A&M Records before he released Midnight Sun (available on CD and cassette only) in 1992. The album was a commercial success and produced two singles: Jump Street and North on South St.. Both of the singles had a video, yet North on South St. #got a bit of popularity because the video was featured on Beavis and Butt-head several years later.

Volume 2 is the second album by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, known in this recording as "Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass". It was released in 1963 on A&M Records, and sold poorly upon initial release. After the Tijuana Brass became massively popular with hits from their later albums, Volume 2 was reissued in 1966 and eventually reached #17 on the Billboard album chart. A CD version of the album was issued by A&M Records in 1990 but is now out of print. Some LP copies of the album have a spoken introduction by Herb Alpert at the beginning of "The Great Manolete (La Virgen de la Macarena)".

The Rise album was conceived in 1979 after the worldwide success of both the 7" & 12" versions of the single "Rise", a song written by Andy Armer and Randy Badazz Alpert which became a #1 million selling hit song on sales charts, radio, and in dance clubs throughout America, Europe, and Japan. Rise was constructed with Side One consisting of original songs composed by Herb, Andy and Randy. Side Two consisted of cover versions of songs Herb had admired. All songs featured Alpert on trumpet with many great musicians helping him bring the songs to fruition in the studio. Remastered from the original analog tape mixes and presented with their original, iconic artwork!

The Lonely Bull, released in 1962, is the debut album from Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, and was also the first album ever released by A&M Records - which was co-founded by Alpert and Jerry Moss. - Most of the tracks on the album were geared toward the TJB's Mariachi sound. There were also a few cover versions of popular songs, a trend which would grow in their next two albums, Volume 2 and South of the Border.

Herb Alpert & Hugh Masekela - Main Event Live is collaborative live album by Herb Alpert and Hugh Masekela. It was recorded in Los Angeles, California and originally released in 1978 via A&M Records label.
