In this remarkable film, Denis Sneguirev invites US to witness the rescue and revival of Moscow's legendary Bolshoi Theatre. In a mix of images, animation, documentary footage and interviews, he recounts the history of the Bolshoi from it's origins to the present day. Hitherto unknown archival material takes viewers back to a time when stars like Ulanova, Maximova, Plisetkaya, Vasiliev or Grigorovich graced the Bolshoi stage.
