Hungarian violinist Johanna Martzy (1924 - 1979) was one of the most admired and respected violinists of the 20th century. She is a record collector’s icon and a legend. She toured extensively throughout the 1940s and 1950s. Each track on this release is a live broadcast or live performance from the 1950s and early 1960s, when Martzy’s career was at its peak. All of these broadcasts are receiving here their first release.
