About

WORLD PREMIERE RECORDINGS of three works by Kaija Saariaho (1952-2023) from soprano Anu Komsi, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and conductor Sakari Oramo, including the composer's final orchestral work, Vista, inspired by a scenic Interstate 5 highway to San Diego.

Critic reviews

  • “…an album made even more striking by the singing of the soprano Anu Komsi… [Komsi] impresses with her agility, glowing tone and security in the stratosphere… BBC Symphony Orchestra’s dazzling panache under the conductor Sakari Oramo.”
