About
This limited Japanese SHM-CD edition includes two discs and is packaged in a paper sleeve. Originally released in 1973, Quadrophenia is The Who's ambitious second rock opera following Tommy, telling the coming-of-age story of Jimmy, a young mod navigating identity, youth culture, and social conflict in 1960s London and Brighton. A major commercial success that reached No. 2 in both the UK and the US, the album later inspired the acclaimed 1979 film adaptation of the same name. This SHM-CD edition is part of The Who Cardboard Sleeve Series and features the original 2014 mix housed in a faithful miniature reproduction of the original UK gatefold LP sleeve, complete with a replica of the original Japanese LP obi. Also included are a 44-page booklet, liner notes, and lyrics with Japanese translations, making it an essential collectible for fans of one of rock's most celebrated concept albums.
