This is Zig-Zag Territories first collaboration with the great conductor, composer and oboist Heinz Holliger and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. This disc brings together pivotal works of two Viennese composers, works written prior to abandoning tonality and still strongly linked to what went before but already offering glimpses of what the atonal adventure would be. With this fine disc, Heinze gives a particularly moving, committed interpretation of works that are sometimes enclosed in useless carapaces.
