Inspired by the abundance of musical talent Louisiana had to offer, Charles Brimmer introduced himself to the 70s southern soul scene after meeting friend and future manager Senator Jones, founder of Help Me Records. Originally a gospel singer and now a budding rhythm and blues artist, Jones made Charles his first signing and the pair went on to take New Orleans by storm, scoring his first national mini-hit with a cover of Al Green's 'God Bless Our Love'. Released in 1976 this is Brimmer's second and last known full-length album and features quintessential soul gems 'With You in Mind', 'My Sweet Thing' and 'I Want to Be Your Breadwinner'. 730167316668 GODM15428892.2 43313303 9.79 13.98 .26 GOOD TIME COMPACT DISCS POP R&B / SOUL / FUNK 02/02/2023 https://mediacdn.aent-m.com/prod-img/500/45/4183345-2949086.jpg 100 1 N MODIGLIANI QUARTET SCHUBERT: THE COMPLETE STRING QUARTETS As a young chorister, the fourteen-year-old Franz Schubert penned his first string quartets, a genre that he would continue to explore until the last years of his life. Fifteen quartets, of remarkable originality and bewitching lyricism, entered into history, bearing at once the legacy of the Classical Era and a vision of the future. These works are marked by the tides of life - disillusion, illness, but also the flourishing of a magisterial mind. The communion with a confidential soul, the discovery of indescribable colors, the admiration of a remarkable message whose ideas never cease to evolve and inspire... This is part of a distinctive journey that will leave an everlasting mark upon us. The recording of the Octet two years ago was just the initial building block of a project dear to us, one that we now see fulfilled through this immersion dedicated to Schubert."
